Avi Kivity a8170e5e97 Rename target_phys_addr_t to hwaddr
target_phys_addr_t is unwieldly, violates the C standard (_t suffixes are
reserved) and its purpose doesn't match the name (most target_phys_addr_t
addresses are not target specific). Replace it with a finger-friendly,
standards conformant hwaddr.

Outstanding patchsets can be fixed up with the command

git rebase -i --exec 'find -name "*.[ch]"
                        | xargs s/target_phys_addr_t/hwaddr/g' origin

Gerd Hoffmann c08ba66f13 ivshmem: add 64bit option
This patch adds a "use64" property which will make the ivshmem driver
register a 64bit memory bar when set, so you have something to play with
when testing 64bit pci bits. It also allows to have quite big shared
memory regions, like this:

[root@fedora ~]# lspci -vs1:1
01:01.0 RAM memory: Red Hat, Inc Device 1110
Subsystem: Red Hat, Inc Device 1100
        Physical Slot: 1-1
        Flags: fast devsel
        Memory at fd400000 (32-bit, non-prefetchable) [disabled] [size=256]
        Memory at 8040000000 (64-bit, prefetchable) [size=1G]

Jan Kiszka cbd2d4342b msi: Invoke msi/msix_reset from PCI core
There is no point in pushing this burden to the devices, they tend to
forget to call them (like intel-hda, ahci, xhci did). Instead, reset

Anthony Liguori 39bffca203 qdev: register all types natively through QEMU Object Model
This was done in a mostly automated fashion. I did it in three steps and then
rebased it into a single step which avoids repeatedly touching every file in
the tree.

The first step was a sed-based addition of the parent type to the subclass
registration functions.

The second step was another sed-based removal of subclass registration functions
while also adding virtual functions from the base class into a class_init
function as appropriate.

Finally, a python script was used to convert the DeviceInfo structures and
qdev_register_subclass functions to TypeInfo structures, class_init functions,
and type_register_static calls.

We are almost fully converted to QOM after this commit.

Avi Kivity c5705a7728 vmstate, memory: decouple vmstate from memory API
Currently creating a memory region automatically registers it for
live migration. This differs from other state (which is enumerated
in a VMStateDescription structure) and ties the live migration code
into the memory core.

Decouple the two by introducing a separate API, vmstate_register_ram(),
for registering a RAM block for migration. Currently the same
implementation is reused, but later it can be moved into a separate list,
and registrations can be moved to VMStateDescription blocks.

Alexander Graf 2507c12ab0 Add endianness as io mem parameter
As stated before, devices can be little, big or native endian. The
target endianness is not of their concern, so we need to push things
down a level.

This patch adds a parameter to cpu_register_io_memory that allows a
device to choose its endianness. For now, all devices simply choose
native endian, because that's the same behavior as before.

Cam Macdonell 6cbf4c8c64 RESEND: Inter-VM shared memory PCI device
resend for bug fix related to removal of irqfd

Support an inter-vm shared memory device that maps a shared-memory object as a
PCI device in the guest. This patch also supports interrupts between guest by
communicating over a unix domain socket. This patch applies to the qemu-kvm
repository.

-device ivshmem, size=<size in format accepted by -m>[,shm=<shm name>]

Interrupts are supported between multiple VMs by using a shared memory server
by using a chardev socket.

-device ivshmem, size=<size in format accepted by -m>[,shm=<shm name>]
           [,chardev=<id>][,msi=on][,ioeventfd=on][,vectors=n][,role=peer|master]
