Jason Wang cc1f0f4542 net: introduce qemu_get_nic()
To support multiqueue, this patch introduces a helper qemu_get_nic() to get
NICState from a NetClientState. The following patches would refactor this helper
to support multiqueue.

Andreas Färber 1356b98d3e sysbus: Drop sysbus_from_qdev() cast macro
Replace by SYS_BUS_DEVICE() QOM cast macro using a scripted conversion.
Avoids the old macro creeping into new code.

Resolve a Coding Style warning in openpic code.

Andreas Färber 8c43a6f05d Make all static TypeInfos const
Since 39bffca203 (qdev: register all
types natively through QEMU Object Model), TypeInfo as used in
the common, non-iterative pattern is no longer amended with information
and should therefore be const.

Fix the documented QOM examples:

 sed -i 's/static TypeInfo/static const TypeInfo/g' include/qom/object.h

Since frequently the wrong examples are being copied by contributors of
new devices, fix all types in the tree:

 sed -i 's/^static TypeInfo/static const TypeInfo/g' */*.c
 sed -i 's/^static TypeInfo/static const TypeInfo/g' */*/*.c

This also avoids to piggy-back these changes onto real functional
changes or other refactorings.

Paolo Bonzini 1422e32db5 net: reorganize headers
Move public headers to include/net, and leave private headers in net/.
Put the virtio headers in include/net/tap.h, removing the multiple copies
that existed. Leave include/net/tap.h as the interface for NICs, and
net/tap_int.h as the interface for OS-specific parts of the tap backend.

Avi Kivity a8170e5e97 Rename target_phys_addr_t to hwaddr
target_phys_addr_t is unwieldly, violates the C standard (_t suffixes are
reserved) and its purpose doesn't match the name (most target_phys_addr_t
addresses are not target specific). Replace it with a finger-friendly,
standards conformant hwaddr.

Outstanding patchsets can be fixed up with the command

git rebase -i --exec 'find -name "*.[ch]"
                        | xargs s/target_phys_addr_t/hwaddr/g' origin

Stefan Hajnoczi 4e68f7a081 net: Rename VLANClientState to NetClientState
The vlan feature is no longer part of net core. Rename VLANClientState
to NetClientState because net clients are not explicitly associated with
a vlan at all, instead they have a peer net client to which they are
connected.

This patch is a mechanical search-and-replace except for a few
whitespace fixups where changing VLANClientState to NetClientState
misaligned whitespace.

Peter Maydell 8279e04257 hw/cadence_gem: Make rx_desc_addr and tx_desc_addr uint32_t
Make the state fields rx_desc_addr and tx_desc_addr uint32_t;
this matches the VMStateDescription, and also conforms to how
hardware works: the registers don't magically become larger
if the device is attached to a CPU with a larger physical
address size. It also fixes a compile failure if the
target_phys_addr_t type is changed to 64 bits.

Jim Meyering 5fbe02e8bb cadence_gem: avoid stack-writing buffer-overrun
Use sizeof(rxbuf)-size (not sizeof(rxbuf-size)) as the number
of bytes to clear. The latter would always clear 4 or 8
bytes, possibly writing beyond the end of that stack buffer.
Alternatively, depending on the value of the "size" parameter,
it could fail to initialize the end of "rxbuf".
Spotted by coverity.
