Philippe Mathieu-Daudé d5be19f514 cpu: Call object_class_dynamic_cast() once in cpu_class_by_name()
For all targets, the CPU class returned from CPUClass::class_by_name()
and object_class_dynamic_cast(oc, CPU_RESOLVING_TYPE) need to be
compatible. Lets apply the check in cpu_class_by_name() for once,
instead of having the check in CPUClass::class_by_name() for individual
target.

Richard Henderson 8fa08d7ec7 accel/tcg: Remove cpu_set_cpustate_pointers
This function is now empty, so remove it.  In the case of

The availability of tb->pc will shortly be conditional.
Introduce accessor functions to minimize ifdefs.

Stafford Horne 66564c31e4 target/openrisc: Interrupt handling fixes
When running SMP systems we sometimes were seeing lockups where
IPI interrupts were being raised by never handled.

This looks to be caused by 2 issues in the openrisc interrupt handling
logic.

 1. After clearing an interrupt the openrisc_cpu_set_irq handler will
    always clear PICSR.  This is not correct as masked interrupts
    should still be visible in PICSR.
 2. After setting PICMR (mask register) and exposed interrupts should
    cause an interrupt to be raised.  This was not being done so add it.

This patch fixes both issues.

Stafford Horne e8f0ab0cd6 target/openrisc: Do not reset delay slot flag on early tb exit
This was found when running linux crypto algorithm selftests used by
wireguard.  We found that randomly the tests would fail.  We found
through investigation that a combination of a tick timer interrupt,
raised when executing a delay slot instruction at a page boundary caused
the issue.

This was caused when handling the TB_EXIT_REQUESTED case in cpu_tb_exec.
On OpenRISC, which doesn't implement synchronize_from_tb, set_pc was
being used as a fallback.  The OpenRISC set_pc implementation clears
dflag, which caused the exception handling logic to not account for the
delay slot.  This was the bug, because it meant when execution resumed
after the interrupt was handling it resumed in the wrong place.

Fix this by implementing synchronize_from_tb which simply updates pc,
and not clear the delay slot flag.

Richard Henderson 12f0bc5579 target/openrisc: Make openrisc_cpu_tlb_fill sysemu only
The fallback code in cpu_loop_exit_sigsegv is sufficient for
openrisc linux-user.

This makes all of the code in mmu.c sysemu only, so remove
the ifdefs and move the file to openrisc_softmmu_ss.
Remove the code from cpu_loop that handled EXCP_DPF.

Claudio Fontana 7827168471 cpu: tcg_ops: move to tcg-cpu-ops.h, keep a pointer in CPUClass
we cannot in principle make the TCG Operations field definitions
conditional on CONFIG_TCG in code that is included by both common_ss
and specific_ss modules.

Therefore, what we can do safely to restrict the TCG fields to TCG-only
builds, is to move all tcg cpu operations into a separate header file,
which is only included by TCG, target-specific code.

This leaves just a NULL pointer in the cpu.h for the non-TCG builds.

This also tidies up the code in all targets a bit, having all TCG cpu
operations neatly contained by a dedicated data struct.

Eduardo Habkost e9e51b7154 cpu: Introduce TCGCpuOperations struct
The TCG-specific CPU methods will be moved to a separate struct,
to make it easier to move accel-specific code outside generic CPU
code in the future.  Start by moving tcg_initialize().

The new CPUClass.tcg_opts field may eventually become a pointer,
but keep it an embedded struct for now, to make code conversion
easier.

Peter Maydell 71b3254dd2 target/openrisc: Move pic_cpu code into CPU object proper
The openrisc code uses an old style of interrupt handling, where a
separate standalone set of qemu_irqs invoke a function
openrisc_pic_cpu_handler() which signals the interrupt to the CPU
proper by directly calling cpu_interrupt() and cpu_reset_interrupt().
Because CPU objects now inherit (indirectly) from TYPE_DEVICE, they
can have GPIO input lines themselves, and the neater modern way to
implement this is to simply have the CPU object itself provide the
input IRQ lines.

Create GPIO inputs to the OpenRISC CPU object, and make the only user
of cpu_openrisc_pic_init() wire up directly to those instead.

This allows us to delete the hw/openrisc/pic_cpu.c file entirely.

This fixes a trivial memory leak reported by Coverity of the IRQs
allocated in cpu_openrisc_pic_init().

Peter Maydell 781c67ca55 cpu: Use DeviceClass reset instead of a special CPUClass reset
The CPUClass has a 'reset' method.  This is a legacy from when
TYPE_CPU used not to inherit from TYPE_DEVICE.  We don't need it any
more, as we can simply use the TYPE_DEVICE reset.  The 'cpu_reset()'
function is kept as the API which most places use to reset a CPU; it
is now a wrapper which calls device_cold_reset() and then the
tracepoint function.

This change should not cause CPU objects to be reset more often
than they are at the moment, because:
 * nobody is directly calling device_cold_reset() or
   qdev_reset_all() on CPU objects
 * no CPU object is on a qbus, so they will not be reset either
   by somebody calling qbus_reset_all()/bus_cold_reset(), or
   by the main "reset sysbus and everything in the qbus tree"
   reset that most devices are reset by

Note that this does not change the need for each machine or whatever
to use qemu_register_reset() to arrange to call cpu_reset() -- that
is necessary because CPU objects are not on any qbus, so they don't
get reset when the qbus tree rooted at the sysbus bus is reset, and
this isn't being changed here.

All the changes to the files under target/ were made using the
included Coccinelle script, except:

(1) the deletion of the now-inaccurate and not terribly useful
"CPUClass::reset" comments was done with a perl one-liner afterwards:
  perl -n -i -e '/ CPUClass::reset/ or print' target/*/*.c

(2) this bit of the s390 change was done by hand, because the
Coccinelle script is not sophisticated enough to handle the
parent_reset call being inside another function:

Richard Henderson 62f2b0389f target/openrisc: Add support for ORFPX64A32
This is hardware support for double-precision floating-point using
pairs of 32-bit registers.  Fix latent bugs in the heretofore unused
helper_itofd and helper_ftoid.  Include the bit for cpu "any".
Change the default cpu for linux-user to "any".

Markus Armbruster 0442428a89 target: Simplify how the TARGET_cpu_list() print
The various TARGET_cpu_list() take an fprintf()-like callback and a
FILE * to pass to it.  Their callers (vl.c's main() via list_cpus(),
bsd-user/main.c's main(), linux-user/main.c's main()) all pass
fprintf() and stdout.  Thus, the flexibility provided by the (rather
tiresome) indirection isn't actually used.

Drop the callback, and call qemu_printf() instead.

Calling printf() would also work, but would make the code unsuitable
for monitor context without making it simpler.

Richard Henderson 1cc9e5d896 target/openrisc: Increase the TLB size
The architecture supports 128 TLB entries.  There is no reason
not to provide all of them.  In the process we need to fix a
bug that failed to parameterize the configuration register that
tells the operating system the number of entries.

Stafford Horne 6b4bbd6aeb openrisc/cputimer: Perparation for Multicore
In order to support multicore system we move some of the previously
static state variables into the state of each core.

On the other hand in order to allow timers to be synced between each
code the ttcr (tick timer count register) is moved out of the core.
This is not as per real hardware spec which has a separate timer counter
per core, but it seems the most simple way to keep each clock in sync.

Stafford Horne f4d1414a93 target/openrisc: Support non-busy idle state using PMR SPR
The OpenRISC architecture has the Power Management Register (PMR)
special purpose register to manage cpu power states.  The interesting
modes are:

 * Doze Mode (DME) - Stop cpu except timer & pic - wake on interrupt
 * Sleep Mode (SME) - Stop cpu and all units - wake on interrupt
 * Suspend Model (SUME) - Stop cpu and all units - wake on reset

The linux kernel will set DME when idle.

This patch implements the PMR SPR and halts the qemu cpu when there is a
change to DME or SME.  This means that openrisc qemu in no longer peggs
a host cpu at 100%.

In order for this to work we need to kick the CPU when timers are
expired.  Update the cpu timer to kick the cpu upon each timer event.
